Medicex, Health Tourism and Agro Expos Begin

The international exhibitions ‘Medicex Bangladesh 2025’, ‘Health Tourism Expo Bangladesh 2025’ and ‘Agro and Food Bangladesh International Expo 2025’ have begun in Dhaka with the aim of advancing the country’s healthcare, medical technology, health tourism and agriculture and food sectors. Organized by Conference and Exhibition Management Services (SEMS-Global USA), the exhibition is being held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) from 10:30 am to 8 pm daily from May 8-10.
The exhibition was inaugurated by Thijs Oodstra, Deputy Head of Mission of the Netherlands Embassy. Bangladesh Agro-Processors Association (BAPA) President Md. Abul Hashem, European Union Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh Chairperson Nuria Lopez, Ifad Multi Products Limited Chief Operating Officer Mahbub Baset and SwissContact Deputy Country Director Ishrat Fatema were present as special guests.
Mehrun N Islam, President and Group Managing Director of SEMS-Global USA and Asia Pacific, delivered the welcome speech. Nadia Afrin Shams, Team Lead of SwissContact’s BYTES project, delivered the keynote speech.
Around 550 companies from more than 15 countries including Bangladesh, India, China, Thailand, Pakistan, Malaysia, Ukraine, Egypt are participating in the exhibition. The exhibitions, held in Halls 1 to 4, will showcase a variety of cutting-edge technologies and services, including medical equipment, healthcare, medical tourism, agricultural technology, food and beverage products, and packaging materials, at over 900 booths.
The organizers said the event will serve as an effective one-stop platform for local and international buyers and sellers of the relevant industries. It will create opportunities for technology transfer and business collaboration.
